Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween
When two junk collecting best friends look to sell some stuff from a spooky house, they uncover a mysterious book. After opening the book, they meet their new friend Slappy who seems nice but decides to create a family of his own. Now Sonny, with his sister Sarah and best friend Sam must stop Slappy’s plan of making Halloween last forever.
This story went more back to its roots, a good old fashion tale of scares and family with a real Goosebumps twist ending. Slappy returned with new sinister intentions and a twisted sense of humour bringing back a great feel just like the old days. The three kids of the story Sonny (Jeremy Ray Taylor), his sister Sarah (Madison Iseman), and best friend Sam (Caleel Harris) all played their roles perfectly. They have so much fun but eventually come across the same problem most kids do…parents who won’t believe them. This film has some interesting cameos in it, with R.L. Stine (Jack Black) returning and a fun moment with the real man showing, R.L. Stine himself.
4/5 Stars. If you enjoy a good horror monster film with a family adventure, good comedy, a twist ending, and dressing up for terror and candy, then you won’t want to miss this one.
